As a proud member of Faringdon Rotary, I’m pleased to share that we’re backing the local Friendship and Memory Café, which runs twice a month. It’s a warm, welcoming place for people to meet, reminisce, and connect. Our support includes volunteer drivers to help guests get there and back – a small act that makes a big difference.
The café is especially valuable for those living with dementia and their carers, helping to ease loneliness and build a sense of belonging. It’s a safe, friendly environment where people can forge new friendships and feel understood and supported.
Thanks to Rotary’s involvement, everyone – no matter their mobility – has a chance to join in. The results speak for themselves: stronger community ties, better well-being, and lasting support networks.
“We believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting each other. The Friendship and Memory Café is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives.” – Mohinder Kainth
Let’s celebrate the brilliant work of Faringdon Rotary and our shared aim of making life better for everyone.
