Car Park Marshalling
The Point-to-Point, held in the rolling downland above Lockinge, is a highlight of the spring racing calendar and draws racegoers from across the region. Quite some effort goes on the scenes, and the contribution of the Rotary Club was greatly appreciated by organisers and visitors alike.
“This is exactly the sort of thing Rotary is brilliant at,” said one of the event stewards. “They’re reliable, they turn up in numbers, and they get stuck in with good humour.”
Rotary members were quick to credit the teamwork involved. “It’s a great way for us to support a local event and engage with the community,” said a Faringdon Rotarian. “We’re delighted to help – and it’s fun too!”
From directing traffic to offering a warm welcome, the Rotary Club of Faringdon & District helped make a very busy day run like clockwork. It’s another great example of Rotary in action, quietly making a big difference.
