A word from our 2025/6 President

Dear friends,
It’s a real privilege to serve as President of the Rotary Club of Faringdon & District for 2025/26. Since 1978, our club has stood for service, fellowship, and community and I’m proud to carry that tradition forward.

This year, my focus is on fellowship: strengthening the bonds between us and deepening our ties with our local community. My aim isn’t to change what works, but to build on the strong foundations already in place continuing the great work we’re known for, while exploring where we can grow our impact.

In addition to our regular activities, I’d like us to strengthen our support for those living with and caring for dementia, and to explore how we can better connect with our local farming community by building relationships, listening, and understanding where we can make a real difference.

Although I’ve spent over 30 years in global organisations, this message isn’t meant to sound corporate. It comes from a place of sincerity, respect, and a genuine desire to enjoy the journey. I hope to lead in a way that’s grounded, collaborative, and true to the Rotary spirit with good conversation, shared laughter, and a bit of fun along the way.

I follow in the footsteps of many dedicated Presidents, and I’m grateful for the wisdom and experience around me. I’ll be leaning on that insight as we shape the year ahead together.

With your support, I’m confident we can strengthen our fellowship, deepen our community ties, and continue making a meaningful difference locally and beyond.

Here’s to a year of steady progress, shared purpose, and Rotary spirit.

Warm regards,
Mohinder
