The heatwave of July eased off just in time for almost 150 runners to participate in the 2022 Buscot 5K and 10K runs around Buscot Park on August 22nd.
The day started sunny with a light breeze as the runners arrived to check in for the race, and allowed for a few last minute registrations.
The mood around the route was concentration by the serious runners, lively conversation and laughter could be heard as the runners passed various check points and the 2 water stations cheered on by volunteers from the White Horse Rotary Faringdon.
Friends and family waited patiently for the runners to cross the finish line, likely with a cuppa at the Buscot House Cafe.
Among those crossing the finish line were the usual running clubs from Highworth, Swindon, Faringdon, and were also joined by a lobster, octopus and shark!
We would like to offer our grateful thanks to Lord Faringdon for allowing us to use his grounds again this year.
The race times are available to view. We hope everyone enjoyed their run in the considerably cooler weather on the day, and we have fingers crossed for similar conditions in 2023, we look forward to seeing you all again then!
