
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before participating in the Buscot Run organised by Rotary Club Faringdon and District, (The Organiser). By registering and participating in the event, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions:
- Event Registration:
a. To register you must be 18 years of age or older on the day of the event. Participants under the age of 18 must be entered by a parent or legal guardian who takes responsibility for the junior entrant throughout the event.
b. Participants must complete the registration process accurately and provide all required information.
c. The registration fee is non-refundable, except in cases where the event is canceled by the Organiser. - Health and Fitness:
a. Participants must ensure that they are physically fit and in good health to participate in the 10K run. It is recommended to consult a medical professional before undertaking any physical activity.
b. Participants should be aware of any existing medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that could affect their ability to participate safely in the event.
c. Participants must follow any safety guidelines or instructions provided by the event Organiser. - Safety and Security:
a. Participants must comply with all safety rules and regulations provided by the event Organiser, including but not limited to wearing the assigned bib number and any additional safety equipment.
b. Participants should be aware of their surroundings during the event and follow all instructions from event marshals and volunteers.
c. The event Organiser will not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death caused during or as a result of the event, except in cases of negligence. - Code of Conduct:
a. Participants must conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner throughout the event.
b. Participants must not engage in any behavior that may harm, endanger, or cause distress to themselves or others.
c. The event Organiser reserve the right to disqualify participants who violate the code of conduct or fail to follow the instructions of event officials.
d. Dogs (except assistance dogs) are not permitted in the Buscot Park Grounds. However, they may be exercised in the Paddock Field (the overflow car park). This is a rule set by the Buscot Park Estate. - Photography and Media:
a. Participants may be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded during the event. By participating, participants grant the event organizers the right to use their likeness, name, and voice in any promotional or media materials without compensation.
b. Participants may not use any photographic, video, or audio material recorded during the event for commercial purposes without the written permission of the event Organiser. - Cancellation and Refunds:
a. In the event of cancellation or rescheduling of the event by the Organiser, participants will be notified by email or through the official event website. The Organiser may provide options for a refund or transfer of registration to a future event.
b. Participants may not transfer or sell their registration to another individual without the prior written consent of the event Organiser. - Data Protection:
a. The personal information provided during registration will be stored and used by the event organizers in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
b. The event Organiser may use the participant’s contact details to communicate event-related information, updates, and promotional materials. Participants can opt-out of such communications at any time. - Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
By registering and participating in the event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the above terms and conditions.
