The Rotary Club of Faringdon and District meets regularly at The Crown in Faringdon, where members gather to combine friendship with a shared commitment to community service. At our most recent meeting, the atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive as we reflected on our accomplishments in 2024 and discussed future initiatives.
Our fundraising efforts have been remarkable considering we are a relatively small club, with significant sums raised to support both local and international causes. A particular highlight was the recent festive tour featuring Santa and Thomas the Tank Engine. This much-loved event brought delight and wonder to children in Faringdon and neighbouring villages, while the generosity of parents led to impressive donations for charitable initiatives.

During the meeting, we explored new opportunities to collaborate with organisations supporting those living with dementia. It is an area where we feel Rotary can make a real difference, and we are keen to develop meaningful partnerships with organisations to help individuals and their families.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the variety of fundraising events planned for 2025. Some of these will see us taking a leading role, while others will involve working alongside other community groups. These events promise to be a mix of enjoyment, camaraderie, and impactful contributions to our community and beyond.
Our meetings are not only about business; they are filled with laughter, friendship, and the satisfaction of knowing we are making a tangible difference. If you are interested in joining the Rotary Club of Faringdon and District, we warmly invite you to get in touch.
