After a successful debut at Festive Faringdon alongside Thomas the Tank Engine, Santa Claus (affectionately known as FC) has embarked on a festive tour of the local area. From the bustling streets of Faringdon to the quaint lanes of Kingston Bagpuize, the new estates in Stanford in the Vale, and the cosy pavements of Shrivenham and Watchfield, FC has brought joy and seasonal magic to every stop.
Wherever the tour has ventured, FC has been met with excitement from children – and their parents – eager to meet him and receive one of his famous chocolate gold coins. In some locations, more than 30 children have flocked to see him at a single stop, proving that the festive spirit is alive and well.
The tour included a special visit to Shellingford Primary School’s Christmas party, where Santa set up residence in his grotto, personally handing out presents to every child. Meanwhile, his loyal helpers were treated to mince pies, ensuring everyone got a taste of the Christmas spirit.
Santa also made appearances at Faringdon Elm School and will conclude his tour on the 18th with a visit to The Folly Primary School.
This festive initiative isn’t just about spreading joy – the team is also collecting donations for local charities, helping to support good causes during the holiday season. For those eager to catch Santa before his tour wraps up, details of times and destinations are available on the group’s Facebook page.
Special thanks go to Clive Clark for his meticulous planning of the routes and resources, as well as to the dedicated drivers, collectors, and Santa himself for making this magical journey possible.
Let the festive cheer continue!
